Clay Skiff

Clay Skiff works with Ascension Advisory, focusing on transaction origination across Texas and the broader Southwest. He partners with business owners, entrepreneurs, and financial sponsors to unlock capital from owner-occupied real estate through sale-leaseback transactions.

An operator himself, Clay brings a practitioner’s lens to corporate real estate strategy, with a focus on founder- and family-owned lower middle market companies in manufacturing, industrial, and distribution. His approach is research-driven, identifying situations where capital tied up in real estate can be redeployed toward growth, acquisitions, balance sheet optimization, or shareholder liquidity.

Before joining Ascension, Clay co-founded and grew a healthcare insurance business in Texas and later founded Red Arroyo Capital, an investment platform focused on acquiring established lower middle market businesses.

Clay is based in Austin, Texas.
